Happy Monday, !
💬 “Who are you to do this?”
💬 “Why should anyone care about what you’ve got to say?”
💬 “That’s ridiculous! It won’t work. You’ll just embarrass yourself.”
💬 “You’re too young/old, early/late, much/little, …”
💬 “You’re not good enough.”
💬 “That was pure luck. You won’t be able to repeat that success again.”
All of these comments above? , I've heard them before from my clients as they talked about themselves and their goals or ambitions.
It’s the good old Impostor Syndrome that shows up right when you get ready to act on your dreams and level up.
I mean, you could probably hit reply & tell me your own tales of self-doubt when you decided to go for something new or take things to the next level, right?
Maybe you’re even facing them right now as you get ready to go all in and succeed in your 2024 goals this autumn!
But here’s the thing.
You might have played the Impostor Game for so long, you think that’s the way it’s got to be. Constantly doubting yourself and downplaying your strengths... it can feel as if this is just part of who you are.
In reality, though, this is nothing more than a PATTERN.
It’s a specific way of thinking and feeling that you’ve picked up along the way (mostly for a good reason, too!) - that you’re running on repeat now, though.
But the COST of this pattern is way too high!
👉 You’re holding yourself back from tapping into your full potential.
👉 You’re wasting precious time & energy (!) and
👉 hesitating to do the things you need to do,
... when you could actually be thriving and taking powerful action towards your goals instead.
So today, I’m here to tell you: don’t just accept those thoughts - challenge them!
Interrupt the automatic mind chatter and ask yourself,
💡 Who says so?
💡 Where is this belief coming from?”
It’s not enough to just endure or suppress it - you’ve got to work through it to set yourself free and thrive.
On that note, I have a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT to share with you 🎉
When I did a free training this spring, I shared how to do just that - how to interrupt this pattern of self-doubt, get to the root of your Impostor Syndrome and break free from it in strategic steps.
And reading through the feedback from my audience, it still makes me smile from ear to ear. |
